Hunters on Wheels Take Aim at Texas Coyotes After Attacks Kill Residential Pets
Coyotes don’t become a problem in a vacuum; they fill gaps we’ve created, and chasing them down with trucks may satisfy frustration, but it rarely restores balance. True conservation demands we fix the land first—because when the system is right, the predators tend to mind their proper place.
Wildfire (and RxFire) Smoke More Toxic Than Previously Believed
The article below makes the case—forcefully—that both wildfire smoke and even prescribed burn (“Rx fire”) smoke are far more chemically complex and harmful than previously acknowledged, pointing to newer research showing higher emissions of dangerous organic compounds and fine particulates than older models assumed. It argues that these “novel toxins” from high-heat, fuel-heavy fires are contributing to significant long-term health impacts, including elevated mortality and chronic disease, especially across the American West
